Air Traffic Controllers
I decided to choose an Air traffic controller because I like what they do. They make sure planes don’t crash into each other. Another thing they do in their career is make sure planes don’t land at the same time and crash. They also coordinate air traffic. Lastly is that they regulate airplane arrivals and departures. Some college that is required is Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Land Statistics and Calculus one and two. You also need a mathematics degree to start out. Another thing you need is an FFA approved education program and to pass a pre-employment test.

One of the things they use math for is to understand distances and measurements at a moment’s notice. They also need to know how to do mental math quickly and accurately. Another thing they need to know math for is to direct aircraft at what altitude and speed to fly at. You also need pretty good computer skills.
Some other interesting facts are they get to deal a lot with planes. Another fascinating fact is that 5,000 planes are in the sky every hour. Also 50,000 planes operate in our skies every day. My favorite is that you get to use computers. Another fact that I love is that their salary is as high as $161,650.
