Pediatricians


Pediatricians help kids in many ways. They perform check-ups and care for children at a young age. They also diagnose and treat children. They work very hard to be the best they can be. They also help prevent diseases to keep children healthy so, next time you go to your doctor to get a check-up thank your pediatrician for doing a great job on keeping you healthy.


Pediatricians need a Bachelor’s degree to become a pediatrician. They must study a lot. They also need to take a test called Medical College Admission Test they (MCAT). Pediatricians need to attend 5 or 6 years of college. They use lots and lots of math. They need to know your weight and height and also how much medicine they need to give you to stay healthy. Measurement is a math skill used over and over again as a Pediatrician. What a wonderful job!

Other interesting facts is that they care for babies and children. They can work more than 60 hours a week and their average annual salary is $152,240 now that’s a lot of money!
